THIGH LIFT The thigh lift is a cosmetic procedure intended to tighten the skin of the thigh and reduce sagging in the inner or outer thigh. The goal of the procedure is to improve the appearance of your thighs by removing the ‘dimpled look”. The inner thigh lifts are done with incisions over the inner thigh and hidden within the groin creases. Outer thigh lifts are done with incisions extending from the groin around the back. You will be given local or general anesthesia depending on the plan you and Dr. Burton have developed. A thigh lift procedure usually lasts three to four hours and can be an outpatient procedure. When the procedure is complete, the incision is closed with small stitches and covered with bandages. A small drainage tube may be inserted in your skin for several days to drain excess fluid from the surgery. The thigh lift procedure does leave a scar, but the scar fades in time and can be hidden by a bathing suit. |
